About Us

Our Mission

Town and Country Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving lives and fostering meaningful connections between people and pets. Our mission, "Saving lives, connecting people and pets," guides every aspect of our work, ensuring that each animal in need receives compassionate care until a loving home is found. Through education, outreach, and rescue efforts, we are committed to protecting animals from cruelty and neglect while strengthening the bond between pets and their families.

Our Goals

As part of our goals for the future, we are investing in both our community and our facilities to expand our impact. To better serve our community, we plan to build a state-of-the-art Animal Care & Adoption Center, providing a safe haven for pets in transition, and establish an area dedicated to low-cost and free immunization and spay/neuter programs to promote animal health and responsible pet ownership.

With ambitious goals, we aim to provide high-quality care in our new adoption centers, support animal health and wellbeing through community outreach, keep pets and families together, and invest in both our people and our infrastructure. Guided by our core values of compassion, commitment, and collaboration, we strive to create a future where every pet is cared for, every family feels supported, and every connection between people and animals is strengthened.

Funding

Town and Country Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization that relies entirely on donations from generous supporters to keep its shelter open and operational. Unlike many organizations, we receive no financial assistance from city, state, or federal funds. Because of this, Town and Country takes great care to responsibly manage the investments of its donors, ensuring that every dollar is used to provide compassionate care for homeless pets.

Governed by a dedicated volunteer board of directors, Town and Country Animal Rescue adheres to standard accounting practices and manages its resources with fiscal responsibility to sustain its mission for decades to come. Since 1983, we have been a pillar of support for homeless pets, offering them safety, care, and the chance to find loving homes. As a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our commitment to animal welfare continues to drive our mission forward, making a lasting impact on pets and the people who love them.
